  Back to Other Entertainers

Scotia Pipers  have been providing Scottish entertainments for years catering for all sizes of parties and natonalities. Our self-contained Jacobite Nights and Highland Murder-Mystery nights are hugely entertaining, interactive and played with great enthusiasm and humour. These take place in hotels, castles, restaurants and even in outdoor settings. The costumed actors and musicians intermingle with the guests throughout the evening with a mixture of stories, song and music, all served with a lot of merriment. Family parties, corporate occasions, tourist gatherings - everything is within our capabilities. We also devise unique events, writing scripts in conjunction with the customer and we can call on many performers from actors, musicians, circus performers and singers to create multi-faceted evenings, fun days and Highland games. We cater for role-play companies, television, theatre and radio. We are competitively-priced and have performers and events for most budgets.

Just ask and we will endeavour to create a quality script to suit you

Scottish Nights

At Scotia Pipers Scottish nights are our speciality and pride and joy. Whilst we can offer all the formalities of a traditional 'Black Tie Scottish Night' , we can also supply an up and at em, fun loving, lively approach. Our self-contained costumed nights with singalong, piping and percussion, poetry and loads of humour ‘n’ history, Period Costume and Weaponary, have to be sampled to be believed. Imagine the Corries meet Rabbie Burns with Spike Milligan! Cast numbers can be dependent on your requirements.

Murder Mystery Nights

What an end to a conference, family get together, corporate event! This is ideal for a team building activity. We can tailor the duration to suit you but typically the show lasts 2 - 2.5 hours.

Our team of actors engages the audience in the story, unfolding as the evening progresses until the foul deed is done. Then it’s up to the guests to solve whodunit? Themes from Jacobite 1746 to Cluedo and Death on the Cliffs (more Monty Python than history!).Or there is the Death in the office which is about a retiring MD who gets bumped off by his PA. It's a bit of a league of gentleman with over the top characters and goes down an absolute storm  at any corporate event.

By far, our most successful murder mystery night is the Jacobean night. Set in 1746 with the clans on the march, the McGregors are hosting a
recruitment evening and being pretty desperate, they require numerous
'volunteers'.

Amid the pipes, songs and dancing there is some serious promotion of the
Jacobite cause going on but one of the clan has his own ideas about how the
McGregors might flourish....
Self-contained and lasting around three hours, the Jacobite Murder-Mystery
is interactive, informative but played for laughs throughout.

The cast appear in period costume with accompanying artefacts and the
evening ends with a 'wha done it?' question and answer sequence with a prize
for the winning team.
Guests may consider attending in costume and one of their number will most
probably be press-ganged by us into playing Bonnie Prince Charlie himself!

Alternatively, drop the murder bit and you have a fully-rounded clan
gathering with plenty history, music and song.

These evenings can be tailored to meet your needs. We can also devise new themes to suit your occasion. We can play the show totally straight or for laughs depending on the mood of the event.

Coronation of King Robert the Bruce re-enactment

Historic Characters

King Robert Bruce, Rob Roy McGregor, Queen Victoria, Sir William Wallace, Rabbie Burns, William McGonagall. Just delve into your history books and choose a character - Hero or Villian, Prince or Pauper, Mary Queen of Scots, John Knox, Old and Young Tom Morris, John Baliol.....We've got the LOT!

Your chosen character will not merely look the part, but will know their history and remain in character for the performance. They will embellish fun days, Highland Games etc and are available on longer contracts for Historic venues.

Meet ‘n’ greet, audiences with, schools visits. Enliven your occasion with a costumed character who will interact with the guests.

William McGonagall Suppers

Scotland’s worst poet, celebrated and denigrated equally in a ‘backwards supper’, games, interaction and much sending-up of the man and his work. With Highland pipes and rousing songs, this is truly unique in its format. A great alternative to interminable Burns nights. Corporate, Rotary, charity event etc.

And Finally.....Shir Sean Connery

Scotland’s favourite son. With the voice and charming demeanour, 00Scotia  will get more than the odd double-take as double-oh seven. Charity events, openings, photo-shoots and compere work. Sir Sean is the ideal host for any event. Kilt outfit or full tux, either way he’s dressed to thrill!
