David Burnside (Pipe Major)

David Burnside is an excellent young Grade 1 piper with a wide range of experience. He is available for any occasion including Weddings, Birthdays, Burns Suppers, Dinners or any other event.

David started learning to play the pipes when he was only 6 years old and started taking professional engagements at the age of 14. Since then he has had a wide range of experience that includes competing with Grade 1 Pipe Bands the Clan Gregor Society and the Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia (with whom he now competes). He performed at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and the Moscow Military Tattoo in 2007 with the Scottish UOTC Pipes and Drums and has played at weddings and other engagements all over the world. He is the current Pipe Major of the Tayforth Universities OTC Pipes and Drums. With this experience, an extremely smart and professional performance is guaranteed.

His Number 1 Dress is Hunting Stewart, that of the Tayforth Universities OTC, and he wears the Hunting Fraser tartan in Number 2 Dress.
