David Colin Tunstall

At age 33, David has over 27 years experience performing as a Piper. He competed in his first Solo Chanter competition in Kirriemuir aged just 7 and by the age of 10 was allready competing with the 4th Paisley BB Novice Juvenille Pipe Band who won the Scottish, Brittish, European and Cowal Championships in one season. At age 14, he won 3rd place at the RSPB Open under 16s Solo Championship and at age 16, David ranked as Pipe Sergeant with the Garnock Valley Pipe Band who competed and won prizes at Grade 3.

After leaving the Pipe Band to study at the RSMDA Junior Academy, he excelled at studying Double Bass and Piano with which he achieved a BAMus (Hons) and has since performed in Symphony Orchestras in venues around europe. Yet all the time David's passion for traditional music and Piping has remained.

To this date, David has enjoyed performing at a number of weddings and events in Scotland and Europe including a Wedding in Venice,  A Film Premier in Paris, a Bagpipe Festival in Galicia, Spain, and for dancers at a traditional Fest Noz in Britany, France.
