Duncan Nicholson
Piper Duncan hails from the West Highland town of Mallaig and is now Glasgow based.
Growing up in the highlands he played with some ceilidh dance bands including Fergie MacDonald.
He has been a member and has played in some of the worlds best known famous folk bands.
He has played and recorded with “Train Journey North”, “Alan and Ingrid Henderson”, “Canterach”, The Tannahill Weavers” (toured for 5 years), Skipinnish, Skerryvore and The Vatersay Boys.
He has also recorded with Garry Innes (Take the Floor) and made an appearance in the Highlander 3 film.
He is currently the Pipe Major of the Glasgow Police Pipe Band.
As well as being a Piper, he can also play whistle, low whistle and Scottish small pipes to add to an occasion.
